Thank you for your positive review. IBI Group takes pride in fostering a friendly and collaborative work environment that is made up of talented individuals. Hard work never goes unnoticed and we appreciate all the dedication our employees put into our projects. All overtime should be compensated for and you should talk to your manager if you find that you haven’t been paid accordingly. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to your local Human Resources Business Partner if you require any support in the future

Pros

Inserting you immediately into client facing positions, challenging you, giving you responsibility. There is a chance to use your time here to gain experience.

Cons

The ambition I had before working at the company had been diminished over time without me noticing, due to hierarchy and lack of growth. No work/life balance. Room for improvement in the maturity and emotional intelligence of leaders, who were mostly white men. When I look back I’m shocked at how my manager treated me and what I thought was normal as a young woman starting my career. In the end, I felt like a commodity. Even after leaving, management still tried to get me to do things for them. Selfish and unprofessional.

We thank you for taking the time share your thoughts on IBI Group. We appreciate that you recognize that IBI wants our employees to gain experience and take on challenges head on. Clients are an important part of our business and we want our employees to foster a relationship with them. With that being said, we want to acknowledge some of things you didn’t like about IBI Group. It is saddening to hear that you felt as though there is no work-life balance as we strive to provide this for our employees as best we can given the industry we work in. Employee recognition is also very important to us and IBI Group has set up many tools to allow us to show employees they are appreciated. The Kudos Program, Performance and Peer Reviews and the LEAD program are a few examples of how we recognize our talent. Although you are not an employee of IBI Group any longer, please know that we appreciate the feedback and it is always taken seriously.

Pros

Being such diverse company with multiple business lines, you get an opportunity to work with different groups to expand your network. There are some great people who are very talented. IBI takes on many large projects—you get lots of learning experience working on those and of course to build an impressive resume.

Cons

There is no real or proper management here. They claim to recognize the long hours the team is pulling and say they’ll make it better, but they do not come up with viable solutions. Over the past few years, everyone has quit or was fired and the last man standing is the management themselves. Micromanagement is making the working environment worse. Many team members have raised concerns to HR and almost every member who quit reported the poor management to HR during their exit interviews. However, after 5+ years of revolving door, NOTHING’s changed. Management is not available for the team when needed during working hours, but will call, email, message you after working hours for “emergency” situations and demands the team to respond within a minute. Management “recognizes” your long hours and tells you not to over work, but will keep assigning you work nonetheless and have you on a standby 24/7. All they truly care about is the number of proposal that gets pushed out every month. They celebrate over X number of proposals that were submitted, and don’t seem to care that there was a price that had to be paid by the team members who had to work 50+ hours almost every week. I could go on forever to explain the lack of proper management for this team and it’s honestly no surprise to anyone on this team or HR. What’s worst is that nothing’s going to change. Leadership and HR are good at one thing here—silencing those who speak up.

We really appreciate you providing us with such detailed feedback. Our people are our most valuable asset and we are proud to employ the finest talent. We are happy that you have noticed the opportunities to connect across business lines and network with professionals in other practices globally as it’s just one of the benefits of working in a multidisciplinary consulting firm. However, we regret to hear that you have not been having the type of experience in your position that we would have hoped for. The goal at IBI Group is to have all of our employees feel like they can attain a comfortable work-life balance regardless of the fact that we operate within an industry known for its tight deadlines. What we can assure you is that feedback voiced directly to Human Resources or gathered through our employee exit surveys does not fall upon deaf ears, would never be silenced, and is always taken seriously. We want to hear from you – please reach out to your local Human Resources Business Partner to discuss any of your comments, questions or concerns.
