Pros

Great benefits working at HS. Furloughed 3 times during covid and paid 100% all times with 2 bonuses. Always caring for employees needs and very good with sorting issues.

Cons

Pros

Reasonable pay Varied and interesting products

Cons

Shift rota was released at very short notice, sometimes only one day in advance Longer shifts and overtime were only given to the manager's favourites Some associates were seemingly allowed to wear non-regulation uniform, but woe betide if you tried or wanted to do the same Was told to do a wide range of tasks, then found other staff doing these tasks instead Extremely high number of visits by Head Office who would walk around the store and suggest changes. Overnights were needed to accommodate these changes meaning less staff and more stress during the day. The changes made were rejected by Head Office when they visited again, meaning the whole process had to happen all over again Some staff were not health and safety conscious Some customers were rude and expected discounts on all items Recognition/achievement only given by company's own gift cards Briefings at start of shift was infrequent High staff turnover
