Hectic work

Pros

The people I met at work are great for the most part. The variety of merchandise is fun to view and display.

Cons

The lazy workers are kept on the registers while the hard working ones work their behinds off for their entire shift doing returns and picking up after the sloppy customers. It gets tiring after a while. If you annoy the manager in any way then you can expect your hours to be cut to the bare minimum.

Pros

The best reason to work there would be because you don't have another job.

Cons

The management team have favorite employee's and they are very unprofessional. The manager don't dress in proper attire or behave like professionals. This company does not do drug screenings or background checks so any criminal or drug attic can easily work there. They don't recognize the employee's for doing a good job. And the hours suck big time! you would be lucky to get 12 hours a week. Next time you're in the store ask an employee how they like the company. They throw away good merchandise that can easily be sold at a lower price or donated, they don't recycle and that's the biggest thing that bothers me about this company. They sell green products but they do nothing to help the planet, adding loads and loads of trash. If you work 4 hours a day they will try to get 8 hours of work out of you. I would not recommend this company.

Pros

Non management Coworkers are nice, you don't need a gym membership due to all of the walking and lifting you do daily, and sometimes they put free snacks in the break room.

Cons

The pay is awful for the amount of work you have to do. You go home feeling exhausted everyday. As a full-time associate (coordinator), you manage pretty much half of the store while being micromanaged and harassed by a store manager all day. I don't even make $15 an hour and have the responsibilities of someone who would make $5-$10 more per hour elsewhere. We'll have 3 people scheduled to process a 1500 piece truck, and they're expected to unload and have everything ready for the shelves in 5 hours. There's no communication between members of management, so you constantly get conflicting info. And forget about having a life outside of work, your schedule can change with no warning except an alert from the schedule app
