Pros

The friendliest staff, people are always willing to laugh and form friendships. Stocking is very satisfying as well as loading the stocking carts with merchandise. Pretty easy job in general, cashiering is easy too.

Cons

Breaks are a little short for walking for 5-6 hours: 15 minute break, If you're there for long enough and aren't one of the co-workers that stand out the most/accomplish the utter most, your days get cut.

Pros

Nice work crew, flexible hours, interesting products and merchandise! There are opportunities for advancement if you choose.

Cons

Management favoritism is very evident, especially when it comes to scheduling. Erratic hours and schedules as TJX management always cries broke and never has enough money to cover payroll, except full time management. This usually occurs after every holiday right after they announce record profits. As a part-time employee you can have 4 days one week and then be dropped to one, the following week. YOU CAN'T COUNT ON A REGULAR PAY CHECK! Pay is very inconsistent. Plus they want everyone, especially cashiers to be full time account managers and solicit credit cards daily. If you don't meet quota you can be written up.

Pros

Really nice employees and managers, snacks in the break room, opportunities to get gift cards from bingo and star cards, discounts, and an open door policy for any issues

Cons

This job is only good for high school and college students who want to make some money while in school. Or someone with a spouse that makes more money and just want to work to get out of the house. Or has a main job during the week and can work here on weekends. The hours are bad especially if you do maintenance. You're by yourself nobody cleans up after themselves and when you're (not by choice) the others don't clean so you're cleaning days worth of a mess.
