Pros

Majority of managers at this location are top-notch, and fellow staff members are very pleasant as a whole.

Cons

*You are not informed @hiring that store "recovery" (read=CLEAN UP & TIDYING) can add 1- 2 1/2 HOURS to your put-the-door time at closing. I think their turnover rate would fall dramatically if they were upfront and honest about that. When one plans one's day on a 5p - 10p (closing) schedule, and one can't actually depart until 11:30/12p, it causes problems. If this happens on a regular basis, one tends to say, "Farewell." *The pay is minimal. *Checkout staff is expected to offer the store credit card, and ask for charity donations of EVERY SINGLE CUSTOMER. Some customers do not mind, many do, and the poor cashier is the one to get blasted. *The employee discount is a paltry 10%--20% on very limited occasions. Associates are asked to be diligent in spotting shoplifters, yet the company cripples it's security staff in their efforts to stop/pursue thieves. *Rest and lunch breaks are laughable. An unpaid 45 minute break for a 9 - 11 hour shift is ridiculous. (Store recovery time at closing is not considered scheduled time, so is not included in determining the length of one's break.)

Pros

Great product at competitive prices. Store was always busy. Daily shipments kept the job interesting. Merchandising was done in vertical color stripes which felt organized and sold the items well.

Cons

The expectations of the pace were too high. We lost a lot of good people because of it. The steel carts on wheels were too heavy to push.

Pros

nice co workers , great merchandise, flexible work sch.the ops manager works with your schedule as needed. Key carrier is awesome-she is always there to help when needed, she is always on the floor working hard.

Cons

poor pay poor work environment- no air, working in extreme heated building, poor resources- dumpster to small, compactor to small- makes job harder when you cannot put cardboard in compactor or have to always spend time cutting the boxes in little pieces so they will fit- poor productivity there especially for a company that is all about productivity. EXTREMELY LABOR INTENSIVE JOB WITH NO HELP. EXPECTATIONS ARE NOT REALISTIC. timed work environment that is not practical with their expectations due to not enough help to get the job done. coordinators are nice but very critical when a parttimer puts the product out wrong or the processors mix the tanks wrong. they need to relax and show respect to others that work as hard as the ones being critical. SM never comes out of office-he does not lead or manage anything or anyone. The ASM are very nice and work hard but have cliques and talk about other associates or each other to lower level associates.Sometimes makes you wait too long to help at the register/customers. when there is a conflict in store the sm does not handle with a since of urgency/or at all-lets issue continue to swelter and get worse. DM/HR does not react in a timely manner on issues inbuilding that needs their attention and solutions. DM is not friendly does not speak to associates when she is in the building. Minimum wage has been raised in some states but not others? why is that.
