I was offered the job.

I was hired to move from the UK and spent 3 months preparing for this; I quit my job, got an EU visa, accommodation, health insurance, travel arranged. One week before I was meant to move to Germany they told me they were cancelling my contract, so I was just left suddenly unemployed
