Great work/life balance (very flexible work hours, work at home, lots of paid time off), challenging & interesting work, good benefits package (insurance, RRSP contributions, public transit subsidy, subsidized lunch, etc), great office location in downtown Montreal.

Cons

- Office space is crowded (new office space to come soon hopefully)

Lot of layoffs and office closures over the past couple of years, losing market position in key products... Uncertainty after takeover by private investors 2019.. Often changing benefits/policies that results in salary reduction...

Pros

Flexibility to work from home and deal with any personal matters is extremely nice. The people who work here are generally dedicated, low-stress, and smart. There's a pretty good social atmosphere. The location in Goleta is incredible. There are well-defined opportunities for advancement, and they seem to generally prefer to promote from within.

Cons

The lack of investment in anything related to DevOps and internal tooling is honestly embarrassing for a company of this size. Maintenance of infrastructure, security auditing, etc is all completely left up to developers, and because there are almost no teams working on internal shared resources, you're left to start from scratch every time. Sometimes this is freeing, but ultimately it wastes a ton of time. There is a persistent threat of layoffs and other executive tom foolery that ends up being a combination of terrifying and frustrating.
