Pros

I moved country while working for GoTo. Some flexibility to work remotely, however the change was due to covid, not internal policies. Decent Dublin's office, if you don't mind commuting to the city centre, outside of the bus and luas services. Usual american company benefits, nothing particular.

Cons

No clear sales strategy: the company is focused on getting as much money in, and nothing else. Poor customers experience, mostly due to budget being allocated to sales and not care/support. Lot of different products, which are not even designed to work together...explain that to customers! Clueless mid management in sales, more interested in career progression than actually understanding the product they sell. Very poor support from the solutions consulting team: demonstrating again a low standard in management and vision, don't know how to increase revenue! Lot of change in that team, with lot of managers and team members have left. While I'm thankful to have changed countries, the all process took a long time, the Dublin HR team is the worst I ever had to deal with! I'll leave in good terms, I heard from multiple people that they make life very difficult once you leave the company...recruiters check each others info, GoTo doesn't appreciate employees leaving and show it in their references (heard that from HR sources). Bottom line, not a good place to work: I'm surprised to see some positive reviews on here, from both countries I work from. Internal mood is very different.

Hi there. We hope you were able to share this feedback in our employee engagement survey. As for our direction here at GoTo, every function has a plan and strategic initiatives. To help employees better understand them, leaders and colleagues share results and present strategies in our bi-weekly all-company meetings. Every employee can learn about our direction as a company live or on-demand at any time on The Hive, our internal site. We understand that everyone’s experience is different. However, we disagree with the assumption that the internal mood differs from what is currently reflected here and on other sites. Our reviews have trended upwards since 2020. From a 3.4 to a 3.9 average, our highest scores (4 and above) were in Culture, Work-Life Balance, and Inclusion. Of course, not everyone leaves reviews. But our internal engagement surveys also strongly showcase an engaged and connected workforce. We appreciate your candor and will always look for ways to improve your and your colleagues’ experience at GoTo. Thanks for your review.

GoTo has and always will invest in employees. There are plenty of opportunities for learning and growth within GoTo. We encourage employees to visit our Global Talent Development hub, where they can find “Your Career” planning and workshops. We offer tuition reimbursement, quarterly book stipends, flexible time-off and parental leave policies, adoption assistance, and many other benefits that invest in employees. Pros

- Work/life balance with the additional 12 days of PTO due to Corona - Not stressful, no pressure from the management, relaxed environment - Great colleagues (even though the hiring bar is lowering)

Cons

- No more engineering culture - Since when the company went private the goal is not anymore making great products but saving money - The company lost its ability to hire, so the quality of hiring is lowering - US/Canada centric company, offices in Europe are 2nd class and are just pawn
