      Pros

      1) Opportunity for growth 2) Lots of training opportunities available; including CBT 3) Many opportunities to travel within US and overseas 4) Competitive salaries and great benefits (although getting less and less) 5) Interesting work 6) Great people to work with

      Cons

      1) In the bad times, not much security for anyone 2) Sometimes you have to go where the work is to keep your job 3) Not enough sharing of work between offices. Many times, when one office is going through a down turn and another is booming, they will hire new employees instead of sharing work within US offices.

      Pros

      Senior engineers are great mentors. Fluor procedures are outstanding.

      Cons

      The only downside with Fluor is that compensation is based on number of years of experience, instead of performance. People doing an excellent job unfortunately gets paid the same as a guy who sleeps in meeting and does absolutely nothing.

      Pros

      Large company with a strong financial background. Information sharing, team collaboration, and continued education is strongly encouraged. Everyone working on a project around you is very willing to help you learn, and most people are able to do so very intelligently. Compensation is above average. The atmosphere in the work place is somewhat relaxed, mostly focusing on making sure you fulfill your job requirements rather than having someone breathing down your neck all the time. Time off with pay system is flexible and my experience with management is that they will work with you however they can to allow you the schedule you would prefer.

      Cons

      Due to the cyclical nature of the businesses Fluor is involved in, job security is always in question. However, if you perform satisfactorily or above, you should not be too concerned.
