Pros

1. Flexible hours 2. Hybrid working 3. Internal mobility (not sure with the current financial position of the company whether this is still available or not) 4. Option for remote working (but not everywhere) 5. Global setting which you'll be working with people from different background and culture (diversity) 6. Almost standardized benefits but can do better.

Cons

1. Been in the company for a while, unless you're a person who like to be in the spotlight, be ready to fall into cracks and forgotten. No amount of extra contribution that you do towards your task and job will make any difference unless you're an outgoing & nosy person. In short: If you're loud and love to talk, this company will "see" you. Don't expect your job and your deliverance to "talk" on your behalf if you want to move fast in this company. GSG before the merger will see everyone's contribution accordingly but now no more. 2. They said they care about your development, actually not. If you want to be seen, you have to make noise here. If you're introverted silent employee, you'll be forgotten and benched. 3. Don't be fool by the gathering that they have, they're not currently financially stable and a lot of benefits have been taken back or put on hold. 4. Changing managers like changing clothes. I genuinely believe everytime they hire new managers, the new managers wanted to eliminate the old employees instead of build trust and built relationship and at the end, the new manager will start to find someone else to take that responsibility away from them. They will only keep those they want to work with or those that they hire as their direct report and throw the others to someone else to deal with. 5. Open door policy? Laughable policy. It's "open" until you critique them. 6. Simple issue that could be resolve by Slack (our internal message system) but they now will send you an email. This is new even to me, it wasn't like this before. So you know when emails starts flying, they're trying to get rid of you (standard corporate practice to show how incompetent you are by making it big). 7. Don't believe when they say they're a close knit company, company by the size of 700-1000 employees is no longer a close knit, it's corporate and everyone know how corporate works. 8. If you have a stable job right now and thinking to move to GSG, think again and again because being a new joiner during your probation period will mean that your position is unstable and anytime they can kick you out by not confirming your employment. 9. They exert control by not sharing information even within the same department. A contrast from when 3-4 years back where everyone is kept informed about what happen in the company and in the department.

Hi, Even though this response comes later than we’d like, your honest and detailed feedback is important to us. We’re glad you valued the flexibility, hybrid working options, internal mobility, and the diverse, global environment at Atolls. However, we also acknowledge the serious concerns you’ve shared about recognition, communication, leadership changes, and transparency within the company. We understand how frustrating it can be to feel overlooked despite hard work and contributions. In 2024, we implemented a performance and salary review process aimed at providing fair recognition and clearer growth opportunities. We also introduced a professional development program for people managers to ensure better leadership practices and stronger relationships within teams. Still, we recognize that this remains an area where more progress is needed. The challenges you’ve raised about transparency, shifting management, and internal communication are concerning. While efforts were made to improve these areas last year, we acknowledge that these changes may not have fully addressed the needs of all employees. Maintaining trust and open communication is essential, and your feedback highlights where we need to do better. At Atolls, we believe in #StrongerTogether, but we know that actions matter more than words. Your feedback underscores the importance of continuous improvement, and we are committed to making Atolls a place where every employee feels seen, heard, and supported. Pros

Atolls has an incredibly caring management team. They do not shy away from motivating their teams to work hard and achieve lofty goals, but they offer ample support, frequent pulse checks, and actively encourage a healthy work-life balance, motivating employees to maximize their work hours. If you're looking for a workplace devoid of toxicity and who supports your overall career aspirations, this is the place.

Cons

The work here can become rather repetitive. While you have an incredibly large array of client sites to work with, most of your day-to-day duties will look the same. There are still plenty of opportunities for you to take on new projects and mix things up, but your core schedule is very similar day to day.

Pros

I have sincere confidence and respect in leadership - Gerhard, in particular, is smart, charismatic, deliberate and compassionate. It's easy to believe in him and his vision because he seems very sincere. I've found this to generally trickle down throughout the organization. While not necessarily true of all leaders I've had during the course of my tenure at the company, my current direct manager is pragmatic while still managing business goals, and has respect for a healthy work/life balance. The company leans into a policy of being open, honest and direct. I generally find leadership to be quite transparent - if you're paying attention, you'll know the temperature of the business at any given time, and have a sense of where the company is heading. There are no big secrets (or if there are, they've done such a good at hiding them I'm oblivious). This is one of the rare companies where the people I come into regular contact are good people, supportive of one another, and genuinely working towards common success.

Cons

Look, no company is perfect. Atolls/GSG can sometimes move too slow. And sometimes it can seem to underinvest in what seem like key initiatives. But I believe that leadership is generally self-aware, open to input, and looks to improve in areas of underperformance where it is reasonable and makes sense. Comp is generally aligned to market averages. There are certainly companies that pay more - but will you find the same environment? I'm unsure on career opportunities. It seems like employees in some geos may be better positioned for growth then others.
