Pros

Will offer you the earth to get you in, Massive logistical resources You can bring your client base with you

Cons

Will promise you the earth and will deliver nothing, senior management are clueless and seem to operate merely to satisfy their own bonus aspirations. Massive logistical resource is so mismanaged it is almost unbelievable, Bring your clients with you, but in a year they will have all left due to appalling service level, which they will assume is your fault. I left a large company to join WFS , and after 16 months of blitzing my targets I handed my notice in, another year with this company was not an option.

World Kinect has strong brand recognition in the energy sector and access to valuable customer data. There are talented individuals across different teams who genuinely want to improve processes and drive results. The company also has established relationships with large enterprise clients, which creates potential for growth if leveraged correctly.

Cons

One of the biggest challenges is the lack of a clear, modern vision for marketing and how technology should be used to drive growth, improve customer experience, and reduce churn. Marketing is often treated as a support function rather than a strategic driver of revenue, and there is limited investment in the tools, data infrastructure, and experimentation needed to build scalable demand generation and lifecycle programs. Decision-making can feel reactive rather than strategic, and there is often a disconnect between leadership priorities and the realities of modern digital marketing. As a result, opportunities to leverage data, automation, and customer insights to create measurable growth are frequently missed. Another concern is that advancement and recognition sometimes appear to be influenced more by internal relationships than by performance or talent. This can make it challenging for high-performing employees to feel fully valued or to see a clear path for growth within the organization.
