[Luton head office] Could be great...already is if you get in “the club” - Analyst TUI Group Employee Review

Pros

Nice office with generally good facilities. Friendly colleagues. Finally seem to be getting more digital, albeit well behind the curve.

Cons

No chance of progression unless you brown-nose your way into “the club”...i.e. get chummy with the directors. Work-life balance is a double-edged sword. Yes you can have one...but unless your “presence” is noted in the office (read as chained to desk at all hours, forget seeing your spouse and kids), you forego any chance of progression. It all seems to be about how long you’re in the office, not the quality of what you deliver, the impact you make or how efficient you are. Luton location is a nightmare for hiring specialist roles, double-whammied by poor rates of pay. Pace of change is laughable, particularly with anything involving IT...and if you want something signed off, be prepared for 1,000 hours of meetings and navigating your way through the 9 circles of hell.
