Pros

New CEO who knows the employee benefits business, which the US firm has staked its future on. Open to data analytics and innovation from designated individuals.

Cons

Firm has staked its future on voluntary benefits, but has few innovative products to break into a market dominated by industry leaders. Low salaries, inconsistent meritocracy, few innovative employee benefits products, few industry leading divisions except stop-loss and international. Corporate culture is so top down and job security is so tenuous due to the new CEO, cost cutting goals, adn constant reorganization that there is no room for the needed culture of firm-wide innovation that would help insure success.
