Pros

By far the best culture I have experienced. The company has invested significantly in global standardization, psychological safety, leadership development, and strong governance and checks-and-balances. This has contributed to a positive and healthy working environment. Leadership is generally modern and supportive, with very few instances of traditional management styles such as passive-aggressive behaviour or an excessive focus on optics. The culture is open and collaborative. Leaders are approachable, and ideas are generally welcomed and considered based on merit and performance outcomes, with relatively low levels of office politics. There is also a strong sense of psychological safety, where asking questions is encouraged and there is no such thing as a “stupid question.” Colleagues are helpful and willing to support one another.

Cons

Most support functions are progressively being centralized into global shared service teams, primarily for cost optimization. While this improves standardisation, it may also result in reduced local headcount and potentially more limited career progression opportunities within support functions. High workload, lean workforce, unclear guidance during change management

Pros

You Learn a lot about GMP/Pharmaceutical Industry since its heavily regulated by the FDA. The pay is good for the position.

Cons

There are limited opportunities for career advancement, particularly for contractors. Training is generally restricted to the specific process equipment required for assigned tasks, with little opportunity for broader skill development. Additionally, the workplace culture can be challenging. Some long-tenured employees appear to feel entitled to treat others disrespectfully, creating a toxic work environment. Their seniority often seems to shield them from accountability, as concerns raised with management frequently go unaddressed. There also appears to be a lack of diversity and inclusion, which contributes to workplace microaggressions, disrespectful behavior, and an environment where not all employees feel equally valued or respected. There is limited opportunity for contractors being hired on a full time basis, they have to leave the company for six months before they can be hired back! No company benefits for contractors!
