Pros
QAD was a great company to work for. They really care about their employees. Work life balance was pretty good, and the perks were awesome! We had catered lunch daily, and there's a gym at corporate that overlooks the Pacific ocean. They make a point to invest in employee development, and are very mindful of the company culture, avoiding things like micromanagement. One of my favorite things is that they teach managers to be good managers! I've worked at other companies where not only is there micromanagement, but where they think it's normal to chastise employees in front of other people. That wouldn't happen at QAD, and if it did, that manager would probably have some consequences of their own! QAD is excellent. They also have some pretty epic work events. I miss it! If you have a chance to work here, I highly recommend it.
Cons
They do tend to pay a little below industry standard for roles, so it's a little like you're paying for the perks. That said, they've gotten better about it and it's not true for ALL roles. Another con is that the work can be less than exciting. But this seems to be a trade off in life/career. Jobs at stable solid companies like QAD usually are a little less interesting. "Cooler" companies come along with their own downsides.
