Lack of empathy, poor leadership, and unprofessional handling of sensitive situations.
The termination process was handled in a cold and disrespectful manner, particularly given that it took place during the Christmas period. Additionally, the decision-making process appears fundamentally flawed, as termination decisions are concentrated in the hands of a single manager. There was no meaningful opportunity for dialogue, feedback, or self-representation. HR was present in a purely formal or observational capacity, seemingly only to confirm that procedures were followed, rather than to act as an independent or protective function for employees. Overall, the timing, communication, and structure of the process showed little regard for the human side of employment.
