Pros

LG, like Samsung, is winning in the market as the products you sell are generally great, so thus easier to sell. Not much time for politics as everyone is extremely overworked and barely has time to use the bathroom.

Cons

The main Korean business formula for success is "work harder" and micro-manage, and the latest CEO of Canada takes this to the limit. There isn't much strategy, just keep working longer hours with lots of berating while you chase unrealistic goals and serve the whims of the Canadian CEO. Plus the company doesn't pay very well and is very disorganized and unethical in how it calculates and pays out bonuses. Employee capability, especially on support teams, is becoming extremely low due to high turnover and quality employees shying away from becoming part of this type of company.

Pros

LG used to be my dream job. 5 years ago, Every good part of LG ended. They preach all day about wellness, work life balance, and investing in their employees. And they used to do just that but not any more. Their 100% paid insurance is literally the only perk and its a trap.

Cons

They take motivated and competent individuals and shackle them with the workload of 5 or 6 people while telling them they aren't good enough, not doing enough, even though they are somehow finding a way to juggle all of the immense workload. PTO is a joke and no one respects it, they will call and ask you to work on your PTO, on weekends and at 10pm. They have no shame. The compensation is entirely below the bar even with 100% paid insurance. Promotions & Raises? Those only go to Koreans. Its gone so far down hill in the last 5 years. The culture in that office is so toxic but the job market is so restricted that you can't leave.
