Pros

Overall as an employer very good. There are a lot of small perks such as work from home, no clock in and clock out required, overtime is paid and they support heavily in your training and education. The job offers a lot of flexibility with the chance for working for a lot of big clients names and gain steep learning curves, however what you do and who you work with depends heavily on the project you get assigned to.

Cons

Salary is below average if compared to the industry. KPMG is an audit company and this is visible in all departments by the restrictions some consulting engagements face due to this. Being always on the go means you lack the close connection to the company and colleagues, but overall the working environment is with young and ambitious colleagues.

Pros

You get to work with an awesome, highly resilient group of local peers in the advisory practice. The KPMG brand still holds value, but the internal team dynamics have become incredibly fractured.

Cons

We have outsourced 80%+ of our Risk Advisory work, leaving onshore seniors with massive gaps in their experience. As a manager, I am stuck doing senior-level work because I typically have only one or zero local seniors or associates on my teams. The best leaders have already resigned because this model prevents actual management and mentoring. Also, it might take you 30+ years to become partner in Risk Advisory, if at all.
