Pros

Great Campus Lots of systems to automate everything (except breathing) Excellent manipulation of media Decent Onsite opps(if you get them that is) Some initiative or the other starts off everyday. Loads of young minds around

Cons

Hopeless salary structure - what you get shown on paper and what comes in your salary account are miles apart. One fish in a huge ocean Zero work-life balance, happens when you have to spend at least 9.5 hrs at office and 4 hrs on up-down travel on a traffic congested road. Zero recognition as a human being, by both HR and the various Service Desks. Ridiculous policies for everything except what matters - basic human respect and dignity. Pathetic appraisal system, now made even worse. Perfect for people who love bureaucracy, sucking up to the bosses, and posterior kissers. Plenty of politics at work too. Managers are more for show than actual work - they seem to just serve up lots of gyaan about what a great place to work Infy is. Onsite pay means that you lose your variable pay - which is about 40% usually. Goals are supposedly objective, but are made up in such a way that you are set up to fail anyway. Zero support when onsite - just take the pay, and get thrown off the deep end as far as support for accomodation, travel etc is concerned. Some or the other scare mail daily - 'Policy Tips', 'X things not to do', 'Complete the survey today', 'Info Security' scare-mails and so on. In fact, people spend at least 20% of their daily effort just reading or deleting such mails.

Pros

2 at-home days per week

Cons

Mandatory office time even when entire team is halfway across the country. Lack of upwards mobility. Constant pressure to inject generative AI into tasks that it can’t or shouldn’t do. Small increases in pay occur only once every 2-3 years.
