Pros

Managers are pretty straightforward most of the time. They did not make me feel uncomfortable about disclosing my disability and were reasonably accommodating. The job's never boring. There's food every now and again, which is also cool. Pay's getting a boost so that's nice. They hire without a ton of experience so if you need to get retail training this is a good way to start.

Cons

Shoplifters, it's crowded all the time, closing always keeps you over hours and management doesn't always account for that in scheduling so part-timers need to watch their hours. You're really pressured to sell credit cards and all you get is a drawing in a raffle, sometimes customers yell at you for it. Return policy is too loose, and customers often return open food items months later.

Pros

it is a job if you desperately need one

Cons

management does not keep promises (e.g. I was promised $2 higher pay upon accepting the position and later was told it wasn't feasible anymore once starting. I was also promised a specific day off then last minute had it revoked because they decided to make it a mandatory day). management does not listen to or care about its employees, very unprofessional. store managers don't want to do anything to help, they just sit in the office. management let other employees slack off and do nothing and expected others to compensate for their lack of effort general manager was horribly rude and misogynistic. he threw a box at someone while visiting.
