Pros
Technical competency is valued. Opportunities can be good within a country, so long as market conditions are favorable in that country. Industry should be relatively stable or have some growth based on urbanization trends.
Cons
Lack of leadership (directive management style with little empowerment, or collaboration). Employee engagement not understood. No employee value proposition. There were some programs that had potential but they have since been thrown away for a numbers only mindset. The talent supporting these shown the door without so much as a thanks. Little support...”perform or you are out” is the “new” philosophy. People who have dedicated their working careers are being shown the door, I.e. no loyalty or chance to adapt. Potential new ways of working or modernized engagement practices are being “ignored.” The extent of the vision of the new CEO is to be a blue-chip company but he does not role model blue chip leadership behavior nor develop any real or tangible construct about what this could look like.
