Good pay, long hours - Weighbridge Holcim Employee Review

Very top heavy company. Although I received pay rises in my time with AI, there is a lot of secrecy surrounding salary and I knew that a number of my colleagues were being paid more than me. I was told by numerous members of management that they were trying to put more females in management roles. I repeatedly had the promotion carrot dangled,to the degree were I was told I was becoming supervisor one day, the following morning, sorry not anymore. I was eventually pushed out after I had a baby and they made it impossible for me to return. Applied for flexible working which was denied within hours of application with no discussion. They'd already filled my position. HR works for management. Management tried to stop my bonus payments while I was on maternity leave (which are in my contract) HR initially told me they were in the wrong, then changed their minds. Anyway, I didn't give up and went to the head of HR. Got the money after months of battling. Such a shame I had to battle to get money I was entitled to. Disgusting working environment. No running water in winter to even flush the toilet or wash your hands and the office area was infested with rats
