We recognize that career growth and development comes in various forms and takes shape in different ways for each employee, and we have the resources and the desire to find opportunities for all to continue to learn, grow and be challenged, whether that means climbing a professional ladder or leading from where you are. I encourage you to strike up an open conversation with your manager and Human Resources, or perhaps revisit the conversation if you already have. Let’s work together to make sure you are getting the most out of your career at Chem-Trend.

Pros

Stable company with broad global reach. Front office jobs not demanding, hybrid schedules and low expectations lead most to be 30-35 hr weeks.

Cons

At first this looks like a positive: you’ll notice that many employees have tenures of 15,20, 30 years. But that leads to a lot of group think and insular behaviors. They actually have a common statement among employees - “you’re not a Freudenberger unless you’ve been here 10 years.” Not exactly a welcoming statement to new employees. If you’d like to have your input and thoughts ignored for a decade, this is the place for you. Convinced they have great technologies, but in market terms, average technology at best. Horrific infighting between divisions. Management meetings resemble Klukluxclan meetings in terms of diversity. Pay scales below market, 401k match very weak
