Pros

getting paid weekly, that is the only pro period.

Cons

they expect one person to do the work of 4 people, they are constantly changing item locations, getting us agrivated as well as the customers, they are starting the matrix schedule which will leave one employee in the store by themselves for 5-6 hrs at a time, leaving the door open for massive shoplifting, and probably robbery once the community finds out the dg worker is alone (which whoever thought of that idea is a complete idiot.) they never say thank you, or send a card for holidays at least to let us know we are appreciated in some small way, it is probably the same idiot that came up with the basket size theory, forcing people to buy items they do not need nor want, the dm's tell you to do one thing , then a day later the rm tells you to do it a different way, you are constantly being threatened by the dm or rm over keeping up with paperwork that they NEVER look at, then after a few years it is destroyed. this company stresses their employees out so bad , it should be against the law, the lower tier employees are worked like dogs, the managers are so stressed out by the dm over nonsense.

Pros

The job itself is easy. The cash register, stocking (especially the totes and dry truck) and cleaning are so simple however there are certain things that make it difficult, although the work itself is not (under the right circumstances.)

Cons

They never have enough people on shift so it’s always difficult to get things done. It seems like all the managers I know from the store I worked at and the surrounding ones are all so deep into drama it made me wonder if I was back in high school. Dry truck always seems to bring far too much and the stores are so little that overstock is a huge issue here. The reason I ultimately left was due to severe mistreatment and some safety concerns I had regarding some past experiences. I am very glad I left and I would not ever go back.
