Not worth it long-term: get in at market rate, grind out certifications/experience/a promotion, then get out - Manager Capgemini Invent Employee Review

Pros

Fine if you come in at a competitive salary (it won't increase meaningfully afterwards, even after promotions); experience is project-dependent, can move around if you commit to networking and market conditions are favorable

Cons

Low confidence in leadership, disconnect between North America and Global (headquartered in France), little respect for work-life balance, internal promotions receive almost zero comp increase (although most promotions have been halted entirely as of late), draconian vacation policy requires you to use your own personal vacation days when Cap is working but the client won't let you bill (i.e. winter holiday shutdowns), tone-deaf return-to-office mandate in progress (even for distributed project teams), internal knowledge sharing is weak, massive layoffs due to poor planning and acquisition that resulted in a fat bench

Pros

Great atmosphere from day to day employees/ coworkers Nice restrooms… Great break rooms, Free drinks and snacks, as this used to be a vending machine until it started costing money.. especially the Austin office. Great receptionist, she was amazing always made sure every employee felt welcomed and ready to work

Cons

Terrible management, I mean seriously it’s a joke, you would think corporate America has been shaped slightly different but Jeesh, the Austin office is of two demographics, As this company is really only 2 demographics sadly that is what is pushed on the US side, aside from developers whom are wonderful from the UK house.
