      Pros

      You always have possibility to chose/change project. I personally was intensively involved in 3-4 projects within 6 years of work, plus couple of projects i occasionally was involved. For those who wants to gather max of experience within short period - this is the best place. You will definitely not degrade and always have new projects and experiences. I was officially working as C++ software in algorithmic, and had to deal with lot of other topics like sensors (installation, calibration), CNN, recordings, Qt GUI, etc.

      Cons

      I had a feeling that Capgemini did not pay as well as the competitors on the market. Not sure, just my assumption. I went cause another company was ready to pay 30% more. This was one of the reasons. Another reason why i left: coding. Again, maybe it was my personal situation, but the way we (out team) coded was not professional. Again its not bad as long as it is R&D but i wanted to learn "proper" coding. One more issue, more philosophical maybe: unfortunately "expertise/competence" is NOT among the Capgemini slogans, however i think it should be always in the focus of any serious company. BUT i have such warm feelings from Capgemini (Altran) that i still think i will maybe one day return there.

      Pros

      - Standard benefits - Depending on the team you're on, can be a relatively easygoing environment - Ample vacation time, generally readily approved

      Cons

      - Far, FAR below market wage - No yearly raises or even discussion. With inflation, I'm making less now than I did previously. - Zero room for advancement (see below) - You can be a superstar for the client but that translates into no actual benefits pay or promotion wise at Capgemini - they're entirely unrelated. - My manager basically forgot I exist for over a year which means no discussion about performance, promotion, raises, etc - Opaque processes around pay, promotion, etc - Come here if you want your career and paycheck to stagnate and die - Zero appreciation or acknowledgement from the Capgemini team with the client - there's no carrot and stick, just the stick. No real reason to go above and beyond.
