Pros

Many experts in a wide variety of fields Power of equipment diversification There's R&D money around if you know where to look High potential for mobility within the company - moving around to different BUs diversifies experience and increases upward mobility. Generally nice people to work with

Cons

Very conservative/timid attitude toward investing in R&D, toward intruduction new products, very little progressive thinking Business units don't communicate or cooperate Organizationally not set up for quick development (too much red tape) Tons of politics and CYA Too many MDs and VPs in certain BUs Corporate Marketing is bloated with high level employees and its output is not valuable Engineering driven company (KPUs have all the power), need to transition to a marketing driven company

Pros

Strong place to start your career. If you do the Fusion Program you will learn a lot. Good training and benefits. Amazing Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Coworkers are smart and grounded people.

Cons

Stingy with salary, raises, and promotions. The engineer roles are broken up into Jr and Senior so the title progression goes Engineer I, I Sr, II, II Sr, etc which slows career progression and pay. Only the CA office gets extra pay due to the expense of living there, even if the MA office is expensive.
