Pros

Highly visible Fortune 500 financial services company, with very good reputation. It can be a spring board to other, potentially better opportunities.

Cons

The usual bla-bla about corp. mission and vision and how important their people are. In reality they don't really understand the concept of loyalty and that can't just be expected without being willing to offer it. The same goes for trust it is expected -which is nothing new. But you have no right to demand and expect what you are not willing to give. Otherwise, high expectations, little help offered or given when requested, long hours, no work-life balance, but a great image.

Pros

They have fantastic pay for the position you're in, and they teach you interesting and engaging utility of modern technology mixed with legacy fundamentals. I've learned quite a bit while AmEx while getting paid more than fairly - I'd recommend a stretch here to whomever may be reading this!

Cons

The Company is huge, and at times it may take more than a little time to get recognized for your abilities and the growth you've had. There's a reason there is a "only way up is out" reputation exists for some enterprise companies...
