Pros
Good reputation. Presence of world class industry leaders drives performance. The work is challenging and demanding - but in a way that pushes you forward. No matter how senior an MD or other leader may be, they are willing to roll up their sleeves and dig into the work to get the job done.
Cons
Lack of defined expectations/development plan, leadership is not transparent, raises/promotions aren't common for women and there is no such thing as work/life balance. The culture is abrasive and leadership lacks understanding of employee needs. If you aren't the type to chum it up with the boys then your career will be short lived at AlixPartners. Favoritism is rampant and top contributors are often overlooked because of it. Institutionalized sexism is strong.
