- promotion and salary review cycle only twice a year. If you're late for the latest cycle, you will work for your old salary for up to 6 months no matter how significant the salary difference is. Plan your career growth well in advance - bell curve system, everyone knows that a 5 doesn't exist. A 4 requires a lot of extra effort outside of standard work responsibilities and the "reward" is not worth it
