Pros

Good level of hygiene factors. The pay/reward benefits & support from managers is good. The work-life balance is really good and their is a lot of respect for your life outside of E.ON. It is hard to fault the basics of a job at E.ON

Cons

It feels a bit dated in their approach. We aren't cutting edge or industry leading and this really shows across the business. The lack of innovation or willingness to try different approaches makes day to day life slightly boring and unfulfilling . There is also a difficulty to progress past a certain point. You seem to hit mid band and then it is hard to see where you can go next.

Pros

Diverse business units, ever changing regulatory landscape and external forces means that no two projects are ever the same.

Cons

Over governance of project fund sanctioning hinders time to market. Need to empower local business units more to make investment decisions in a timely way.

Pros

I found the perfect job! I am well paid, have access to mountains of overtime and emergency call out, plenty of very flexible holiday, a great pension, and they pay me £1k every Christmas on top of my usual salary. I am field based, so I visit customer's homes and install smart electric and gas meters. The freedom I have to complete my job is immense, and Eon NEVER pressurise me to meet or exceed targets. When they say they put customers at the heart of everything we do, they really do mean it. All we care about is helping, and being incredibly safe in our job. Eon is the largest energy supplier in the world with the exception of the state Chinese energy supplier, so opportunities to progress are nigh-on endless. Our managers are amazing, and their managers are just as good. Would highly recommend Eon to anyone.

Cons

There probably are as with any business, but none that make me feel negative. They are extraordinarily quick to react to any problems or shortcomings they have in the whole operation. They get it wrong sometimes, but they are honest and transparent about how they will negotiate that.
