Pros

Career opportunities, excellent leadership from the VP level on down, training, Salesforce experience, great product to sell, collaborative environment (not cut throat at all like you can see in other sales environments), outside-of-the-office team events, recognition for achievements.

Cons

While there are an enormous amount of free snacks available, there are no tortilla chips to go along with the guacamole ;)

Pros

Thorough and comprehensive training prior to starting on your own. Culture is very motivating with a go-getter attitude. Team very close. Base + uncapped commissions is very enticing. Work hard, play hard. Lots of room to grow.

Cons

Not a lot of cons! Early morning meetings that are required make it difficult for people who have previous obligations, i.e. taking kids to school, work outs, appointments, etc. They kind of set the work hours for you, which is not as flexible as other companies. Minimum # of calls/ day which isn't advertised as much when hiring.

Pros

Awesome product, massive customer base, and great vision for the future & trying to go public. You can really feel the energy and there's an incredibly strategic way DocuSign is approaching the next two years with the impending tech bubble. We don't spend money on extravagant things, but have covered benefits, free snacks & lunch meat/sandwich food, happy hours each Friday, standing/moving desks, etc. It doesn't feel like we're missing out on some of the startup "perks" that seem frivolous when becoming profitable is SO much more important. Company focused on longevity (13+ years already!) and really digging into vertical markets. Sales is a great group of people, mostly referrals from other employees. Lots of ex- Salesforce & Oracle people looking for a change of pace but not too startup-like... SMB group is younger (mostly <30) and growing quickly, with excellent management.

Cons

There is a bit of competition between the Sales team and the Website / Self Service team, which is kind of unheard of -- almost a bit of cannibalization competition internally. Just something to be aware of for the Sales team. Also, the team isn't nearly as drinking-heavy happy hour all the time as a lot of other companies, which honestly can be a good thing. Everyone works their 8-9 hours and goes home, really good work life balance and people keep it professional.

Love all the details. THANK YOU. Interesting point about Sales vs Web. How can we crack that? How do other companies solve for that? Please serve up the ideas. Maybe get Catherine Courage Design Thinking Catalyst team involved and pull together a workshop. Seems like all the awesome team around the table can figure it out.
