Pros

Lots of Pros in no particular order: Great product! It’s been years since I’ve worked at a company with such positive brand recognition. Excellent location for commuting on public transit. Generous time off policy. We get 20 days plus an extra PTO day for our birthday. Terrific people who are smart, dedicated and very capable. Great leadership. Competitive benefits - medical, dental, vision, commuter subsidy, 401k, and a free personal DocuSign account. Socially conscious with matching gifts for non-profit donations and other opportunities to make a difference through the Impact program. Paid volunteer time off. Very nice working conditions - comfortable office building in SOMA, up to date hardware and software, a well-stock kitchens on every floor. Wonderful orientation program that really makes you feel a part of the DocuFamily.

Cons

I can find very few Cons: I dislike the PTO policy that includes sick days. I would like to have a set amount of sick days separate from PTO. It’s a drag to use PTO when you’re sick and it encourages people to come to work sick to conserve PTO. There are some politics but I feel this is unavoidable in any company - even those who claim to have no politics. It’s just the nature of business.

Wow. You have shared such detailed thoughts and feedback. Thank you so much. There are pros and cons to the four weeks PTO which includes sick days. I happen to prefer it this way but there are definitely different ways to look at.

Pros

At the time of writing, I've been here two months. Culture There is a real sense of 'we', 'us' and togetherness at DocuSign that I've never experienced at other SaaS companies, and likely never will again. Sure, we have our branded t-shirts, beer on a Friday, quiz nights but culture means so much more here. From the outset at the interview, you sense you are working with a company who carefully considers their Employee experience. Timely, well planned updates and sincere communication, show you how much DocuSign genuinely cares. Structured on-boarding, coupled with clear objectives at Company and team level ensure everyone is pulling in the same direction. I'm in no doubt of what my team are here to achieve and personally never felt so empowered to drive change - it builds palpable confidence which ultimately benefits our customers in the long run. Effective Execution We own problems. We are accountable. We execute. Every. Single. Damn. Time. Kind of sums it up. Born Problem Solvers & Creative People Solutions, solutions, solutions. It is all you hear in the: canteen, hallways, kitchen, desks, water cooler. Very refreshing to be part of a company that has found their 'why' and sense of identity. Civil disagreement is welcomed, however, admiring the problem, is not. What kind of work environment does this create? Well rounded, humble human beings who leave their egos at the door and genuinely want to solve real world problems.

Cons

Rapid growth and scale. We are growing rapidly and this creates challenges with regards process. Having said that, this challenge is why I am here. How do we increase revenue growth YoY, improve Customer experience and develop processes for scale with a smile on our face? (I should put this in Pro). The faint of heart or adverse to change need not apply.

Pros

I joined DocuSign 6 months ago and so far my experience has been mostly great. The people here are smart, take their jobs seriously, and aren't afraid to ask questions. In fact, from the leadership team down, people are encouraged to be curious and find new ways to do things. Also, my manager is incredible. I've never worked at a company where I feel my manager truly has my best interest in mind and is very transparent with me. I will grow so much from being under her guidance.

Cons

With a new CEO and some management changes, attrition has grown. It would be nice if more people rode it out to see what happens. Change isn't always a bad thing.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Welcome aboard. Would love to hear your thoughts about how management can be more visible. We hold regular All Hands and just held some more Town Halls. Our CEO also holds smaller meetings at least twice a year. But pls feel free to contact me with any ideas. Ann Poletti
