Delusional Organization

Pros

Medical/Dental/Vision Benefits are prime. Hours can be stable if you have the right shift.

Cons

Management is delusional when it comes to what their employee's needs are. Their answer to problems is food, food, more food. YOU WILL BE PIGEONHOLED into a "profile" based on their "People Answers" test you take when you enter the organization. Even as a manager, you are reduced down to what this psychological profile states. It determines your future within the organization.

Pros

Good benefits, PTOs, insurance, summer hours, etc. Also have many Employee Resources Groups to get to know people outside of your team. Company encourages internal transfers to keep top talent. Beautiful campus with many good amenities. At high level, our management provides very transparent and good directions for our goals and initiatives.

Cons

Too many chiefs and not enough Indians. We are growing fast, so I sometime feel like there are so much going on where everything is high priority, but have not enough resources to complete quality work.

Grew too fast, big and messy

Pros

friendly people all wanting to do excellent work, decent if a bit average pay

Cons

too big to manage, highly matrixed so the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. Lack of processes and standards meant teams didn't know what they were doing either. Seems like they were successful for so long they didn't need to be deliberate and efficient in their internal processes but growth is forcing the issue. Impossible to have a positive impact even when you have solutions as there are too many "cooks in the kitchen" stepping over each other. Management is "friendly" but not genuinely supportive.
