Working at DRSC means you have two masters. Your SG managers might be happy with your work and approve your leave, but local DRSC management often steps in to reject it last minute, citing "peak period" even if the SG team says it’s fine. There is a lot of unclear bureaucracy where Malaysia-specific policies are forced onto teams that should be following SEA/SG regional standards. Advice to Management: Respect the decisions of the functional managers in SG. If they approve leave, local management should not override it.

While the client work (SG-based) is engaging, the local DRSC management has implemented a 4-day office mandate that contradicts the office’s actual design. We are expected to work in a hot-desking environment that doesn't have enough seats for everyone, and the office Wi-Fi is significantly slower than most home setups. It’s hard to justify a long commute just to struggle with basic connectivity and finding a chair.
