Remote work is great, but pay and work life balance suffer
Pros
Remote work most of the time, can take annual leave whenever, as long as you book it in advance.
Cons
Shocking work life balance, below average pay, no gratitude, long hours, benefits like private medical insurance have been reduced. The business prides itself on well being etc but it couldn't care less, it's just paperwork for marketing. No room for exploring other functions in the company to broaden your career (this is technically possible but too complicated). Bonuses are below par and below industry standard. There is no motivation to do well, as even if you excel and get fabulous feedback, there is a bottleneck for progression and you will most likely stall, waiting for a position to open up, if they have planned for it in the budget. Wages do not increase in line with inflation, and leadership know this and are too embarrassed to acknowledge this. Those in manager positions and above often times have too much ego.
