An utter mess.

Pros

Strong Technical expertise and great in country staff and technical backbone

Cons

Complete disregard for employees from the executive level. A recent reorganization with no input from staff or supervisors and complete absence or involvement of HR which is odd given there were several staffing changes. That on top of outdated systems, no visibility outside of Project Delivery by other teams on your actual workload so you're continuously harassed with adhoc requests that are out of your scope of work or purview, overworked Project Directors, false sense of D&I initiatives and lack of career development interest from HR or supervisors, just save yourself the grief and apply elsewhere. Patiently counting down the days until I can leave too.

Pros

Work can be interesting, but that 100% depends on if you have a manager that will actually delegate more than simple admin tasks to you, which to be frank isn't likely that you will have such a manager at DAI.

Cons

There's alot of unconscious, and well frankly, conscious, bias going on in this office. If you are a white male, you will do well and have all the opportunities afforded to you. If you are a woman, be prepared to be told to 'wait your turn' (which will be never), and if you are a minority, be prepared to be told that your culture doesn't matter and people can be insensitive to you even after you address the insensitivity "because we're in America" where apparently only white culture is considered American. The sexism and racism will happen with HR present and nothing will be done. Managers will look out for themselves and throw subordinates under the bus. Managers will tell subordinates that they won't be promoted because they "haven't put enough time in" even though lower levels are grossly overqualified. If you really want to work here and get some experience, do what everyone else does: get hired, suck it up for a year, and then leave to do something better in a less toxic work environment where you're paid more and treated like an equal.
