Pros
For the most part many of the people I work with are friendly and nice for the reasons I believe have to do with the fact that a company such as Colgate most likely won't attract people who are narcissistic or type A personality types more common in other industries; however, you still have a few bad apples.
Cons
The industry is very competitive and thus subject to your typical corporate issues, such as lay-offs, severances and forced retirements and thus job security is not guaranteed especially those who are at or below the Financial Director level.
