      Pros

      Colgate is a great learning experience for a person who wants to work in the CPG industry, lots of training, good benefits, can work from home. Meetings and presentations are the bread & butter of every day, make sure you brush up on these skills or you are out.

      Cons

      Tons of work, NYC office very competitive, very formal, very conservative, presentation skills are a must if you want to succeed. If you decide to work on the global program be ready to move from country to country every year

      Pros

      People know each other personally. Excellent work ethics. Very accommodating people who help you through difficult times (even personal). Very good opportunities if you stay with the company long enough. If you are recognized, your salary is really decent.

      Cons

      People have to wait a bit to get opportunities. Onsite opportunities really rare. Instead short trips for meetings / training provided. No training. Process does not encourage documentation. Limited scope of visibility and influencing unless you are working under a really powerful function. Focus only on leadership skills and no technical skills. Marketing oriented company and it believes in marketing above everything else.
