Good pay but poor management and political environment

The pay and compensation is relatively good. Coworkers are generally quite nice.

Cons

Performance management is terrible, and it incentivizes poor engineering practices. Very political, doing good work is not enough. The AI psychosis among upper levels of leadership has also gotten really bad recently. Leadership and management make doing your job really hard.

Smart and talented people, competitive pay, most tech focused bank, AI friendly, work / life balance, soft on PTO requirements (team specific), fun events

Cons

Stack ranking for promotions / firing people means you always have to play the corpo game. More of a PIP culture these days, always drew inspo from Amazon but feels even more so lately.
