Pros

Company's upper management play lots of politics, highly unprofessional attitude within Supply Chain and they hire in surplus and then will fire you without any reason. Company's strategy - hire good employees by offering good package and position to take transition from client and once transition is done then they will fire you and hire employees at lesser package hence cost savings. It's a trap never join this company. I know Capgemini has a big name but once u enter into the company you will feel people are rude and company is VERY UNETHICAL especially in supply chain domain.

Cons

Company will treat you like a slave and work environment is so pathetic that each day your seniors will openly say your job is at stake if you cross the deadlines. They will make you slave to the client and you will feel that your European clients will treat you like proper slaves, will mock at you, will make fun of you and your upper management will ask you to do as your client says. Basically your client will EXPLOIT you to the core and you will feel India is still not independent and we are just slaves. If you have any self respect then NEVER JOIN this company. Also while doing exit formalities you will be treated like a criminal by the HR.

Pros

- Good name in the CV (from the French brand) - Salaries in line with competitors and very good benefit package - You'll be taken care if you have issues with the Clients - There are cool projects - There are very nice and smart people working for this Company

Cons

- I'm afraid the company is transforming itself into a "body shopping" company, selling consultants with no care about their growth and career path - No rotation planned for people in many projects, you'll be left with the Client. If you are alone (sometimes your line manager is a competitor) you have no visibility and it gets very frustrating - The company doesn't care, at all, about the quality of delivery that you as a Consultant provide to its Clients. There is no oversight and there is no difference from their perspective from someone working in a A type project and someone working for another project. This means at calibration you can sell your project work as you wish, and playing the "internal work" game you can get promoted easily, but remember if you are stuck in a difficult project the Company doesn't know. The "delivery" element of your work (the thing that takes 99% of your time every day) is only 1 element they evaluate you against, but there are other 5 elements (growth, talent etc.) much more weighted - If you want to be promoted, there's only one thing to do: you have to do A LOT of internal work (blogging, helping VPs with bids, joining or arranging workshops etc.) all nice things but too much weighted for a Consulting company. A lot of people arrange recurring calls with doubtful meaning just to show they are pro-active and thick the box. Many times nothing happens as a result of these calls - Some VPs are of very doubtful skillsets for the position they cover. A few of them are sales people with no technical idea of the projects they are selling consultants for - The idea of the company is to build your skillset within the same Client to sell you better in the future. There is no idea of proper rotation, especially within FS. This means it's very difficult to change Client. This goes against why someone chooses a Consulting company but it's in line with the "Body shopping" mentality - Some Counsellors are not available and don't respond to your queries, never, meaning it's very difficult to get promoted unless you escalate - Of the four divisions (BMT, OPEX etc.) a lot of times you'll find yourself to work in a complete different thing. If you work with someone from another capability, the result is that even if you've worked together for the same project, same Client, similar role, you might get your salary raised and the other person might not, just because of budget constraints in the other division
