      Good start for fresh engineers

      Pros

      Aricent is good for fresh engineers. There are learning opportunities. For experienced engineers, it depends on how capable we are- sometimes it is a little challenging. Hike is good as compared to other service based organisations. Work atmosphere is great as compared to other locations

      Cons

      We cannot expect the learning curve to be exponential in later phase. Work life balance is not same across all projects as we progress to higher grades

      Pros

      Diverse project base, plenty of opportunity for learning new tools and skills.

      Cons

      Altran North America (formerly Foliage) has had various shake-ups in the past few years. In 2018, despite unparalleled company and N.A. growth, building renovations, new location in New Hampshire, and a full workload, a wide-based restructure resulted in layoffs in every department. From Senior Management to new college grads, every department was affected, and much great talent lost.

      Altran - a once great company

      Pros

      Not a whole lot to say that is positive. Altran (formerly Foliage, Inc) was a great systems development company doing exciting next generation technology. Now it is essentially just a staffing company doing maintenance and grunt level work.

      See Pros . Shrinking Company (down to one building from two) Little more than a body shop now Low company moral Foreign ownership (French) who have no understanding of the US market Employees viewed as costs rather than assets.
