Salary and compensation is reasonable, but not as good as expats likely

Cons

Locals are not the main players in this company, simply has a role to play (creating EP quota with no career growth and aspect). Promotion-winning projects are given to inner-groups, and locals are probably there to clear non-important, laborious work (differs from team to team likely). No diversity, probably 1 Singaporean to 10 expats (not sure where the abundance of EP is obtained). Also, workers in china does 996, 内卷 is inevitable and through culture one has to work the equivalent amount.

Free food, good benefits. Talented peers.

No surprised but it’s Asian company so culture is exactly what you might expect. Top down culture with expectations to work long hours and weekends. If you don’t speak mandarin expect discrimination, you will not be included in important decision making and your ratings will reflect the outcome. Almost feel like you were hired for diversity but they don’t want diversity. You will be setup for failure and PIP or fired if you retaliate. Leadership is as mellow as it gets , no communication no answers for burning questions. There is a reason people leave after a year, either due to burnout or discrimination. Yes money is good but is it worth all the stress..Hell no!!
