      Pros

      Company is willing to invest in resources and training for its employees and offers great networking opportunities and access to the terminal and seminars.

      Cons

      At the time, much of the technology was proprietary and you develop software / applications that are not as portable. However, in recent years, the company has been getting rid of their legacy code and modernizing their technology infrastructure. Big-brother watching with the badge-out and daily logs and tracking system.

      Pros

      Good perks, opportunities to travel and meet all walks of life, good pay for those who have recenty graduated. Good training ground.

      Cons

      Poor management, continuous moving targets, noise of poor performers drowns out quiet determination and successes of good workers. Too many 'wanna-bes'.

      Pros

      Bloomberg is a very successful company. Pay is good. Software projects are often interesting and challenging. Coworkers are smart and helpful; they freely sharing knowledge and offer good advice.

      Cons

      The pace of work is too fast. The quality of the software suffers a lot from huge time pressures that seem to come from all directions.
