Pros

BASF offers great benefits and is very focused on safety, diversity and inclusion.

Cons

There is an undue emphasis on education over experience. Someone with an MS, MBA , and 10 years of experience is often eclipsed by a recently graduated PhD with no experience. Often, those who are most involved in day-to-day operations of the business have no voice in the decision-making process, leading to business decisions that are ill-informed and not sustainable.

Pros

Not much to say here

Cons

See we are for sale now not surprised with how the management around here runs things. Bunch of PhD's that have no experience.

Pros

- Great benefits - Nice campus/onsite gym - Friendly people

Cons

- Most IT decisions made in Europe - Heavily silo'd organization, felt like an exile in RTP - Lots of duplicative efforts and organizations - Outsourced most tech functions, making everyone a project manager to varying degrees
