Pros

Amazing company, wants to be the best in everything it does, whether that is Engineering, R&D, Customer Care, Sales, HR, etc. Pay is very competitive - bonus has paid out over 100% past several years, benefits are top notch - seriously, you can't find a higher 401(k) employer contribution/match. People are super smart - you'll learn so much. Global organization means lots of opportunities for career development, even international assignments. New CEO is very market-focused, open to new ideas and someone employees are really enjoying as a new leader. BASF is the best kept secret in the market (and I just let it out!)

Cons

Hey, when you have super smart people and a 150 year old company (yes, 150), we can be very deliberate and thoughtful in how we do things. Sometimes it means we're slow to react or make a change. But has your company survived 150 years and is still going strong? :)

Thank you for your review. It is great to know that you appreciate everything this "best kept secret" has to offer! And you may have heard, that we are working towards streamlining some of our processes, where possible. We are going strong! Many more years of success for BASF!

Pros

Great team atmosphere, above-average retirement benefits, casual atmosphere, not stingy when requesting eqpt, maintenance, supplies etc. Lots and lots of good people. Mainly well-managed, esp. w.r.t. finding new products, getting them registered and to market. They make GREAT products. Very compliance-minded.

Cons

Advancement is VERY VERY difficult, unless you change groups. And changing groups is diffiocult. They like employees to specialize too much and not diversify. Tho' they talk a good game about employee development, they don't deliver.

Pros

Nice work environment, better salary offerings than others in market. Superiors are always approachable and helpful. Employee benefits are the best in market.

Cons

Big companies have big problems too. Petty customer groups are sometimes left unattended leaving tasks to the following persons. Small issues are overseen sometimes which should be considered by management.
