Pros

You'll have a wide exposure to many technical problems. With the right manager you can really dive into different areas. The company is relatively big so that there are opportunities in other business segments as well.

Cons

There can be a struggle for work-life balance. The bottom line is making a profit, no matter how well you do if you're not part of a great profit center then you are not a darling of management. I would also say moral has not been the best since I've joined the company (~5 years ago). Too many people are leaving and we are not drawing experienced people in to fill the losses.

Pros

total compensation; great co-workers. constantly gaining new technology; very innovative place. Bonus plan has now moved toward perfomance based vs. straight profit sharing. younger work force. Mgt does allow you to take control and decide on what idea will work.

Cons

no work life balance. Upper mgt constantly pushes you to take on more work. Not sure if I could end my career here once I start a family. The time commitment does not allow a lot of free time . Operations does not always understand that we run a business and they should treat their decisions with the same level of improtance as in their personal life
