Some decent benfits remain, better than unemployment, immediate co-workers hard-working, large company "security"

Cons

Time off cut, No raises in over 4 years, no bonuses in four years, can't pay the mortgage with stock awards, upper management clueless, America workers are slowly being phased out....

Pros

The rank and file are very good people to work with. Compensation very good for Austin. Most supervisors very flexible as long as the work gets done.

Cons

Too many market ups and downs in this industry. 10 years and 10 layoffs. Too many good people let go.

Pros

Applied has the best semiconductor tools in the world, and this is very useful for solar cell development. Other than this, Applied has very good technical support to do characterization for material and device.

Cons

Collaboration between product management and product development need to be improved. Solar is a kind of new business for applied. Applied need to find a good point to get into the game.
