Good benefits Largest manufacturer of wafer fab equipment Exposure to wide range of technologies Huge installed base at many wafer fabs

Cons

Very cyclical industry, frequent layoffs No work life balance Company structure too decentralized, making effective communication and collaboration very difficult Too much focus on cost saving, not enough focus on manufacturing capability Manufacturing operations relies too much on temporary contract labor

Pros

Biggest semi-conductor equipment provider, opportunity to travel, exposure to new skills, networking with other people in the industry, good support for education.

Cons

Communication between groups and within groups was lacking. Training of new hires in the systems and methodology of the company was poor. Culture was very divisive and antagonistic.
