Pros

I was on a good team. I had regular 1:1 meetings with my manager. They provided subsidized housing for the duration of the internship. Good pay. You can move fairly easily within the company, so if you don't like your manager or are not interested in your current work you can apply for other positions fairly easily.

Cons

Not as many fancy benefits as some of the other larger companies, especially for non-interns.

Pros

The high employment bar means you will work with wonderful people. There is no dearth of good work either. If you start enjoying this atmosphere, you will grow and grow.

Cons

Mostly hectic schedule. Relentless high standards. Keep pace with everyone else or you would not see yourself grow. As a developer not just development skills but leadership skills matter as well.

Pros

Good Software Engineering processes. You will learn a lot while working at Amazon that will be useful for the rest of your career. Smart people working there.

Cons

Job title deflation. I'm not usually bothered by things like job titles, but after many years in the same role, it can cause real problems with your career. It also means that you are underpaid compared to other companies. Getting a promotion appears to be close to impossible. As others have said, long hours are the norm. As well as being on call one week a month. The office being in an unpopular location in the city didn't help with the commuting time.
